Happy Anniversary

Happy 50th to us. We stopped at a beach along the coast for a hike and a swim. Tide was coming in  so some maneuvering over rocks was necessary.  Once we were on the bluff, the trail was steep but afforded great views out to the ocean. After lunch we once again sat around on the beach watching Mr. Adonis and his 19 year old co-leader play in the ocean. Too cold for everyone else in group. He wasn't real skilled in reading group desires. Then off to Auckland . After receiving multiple messages from our kids - all at the same time- we checked in to the Crowne Plaza and were greeted by some very good champagne to start the celebration. Courtesy of who??  We had been toasted all week by our group and Auckland friends. Never had so much champagne. We enjoyed while John ran around town to pick up new inserts that were lost with the boots and some gators. I did a tub of laundry. After spreading wet laundry all around the place, we went to our fancy restaurant. Food quite good and slow. One small plate after another. There was a local couple also celebrating so they moved over to our table and we enjoyed their company for a while. That's NZ - very friendly open place.
